Young Adult Weekend Experience 2008
The Young Adult Weekend has become a fixture in the Townsville Youth Ministry Calendar since our first trip to Gumburu in 2005.  Young Adults, aged between 18 and 35, come together to pray, socialise and grow in their faith in the beautiful rainforest surrounds of Paluma. 

Dan Bowmar (Diocesan Youth Ministry Development Officer for Townsville) and Mary McAuliffe (WYD PIlgrimage Group Leader for the Townsville City Group and Young Adult Weekend Experience veteran) will facilitate the weekend themed 'Walking Our Spiritual Journey' March 7th - 9th 2008.  A priest will also be available to provide pastoral and spiritual support during the weekend.  Make sure you register now as numbers are limited.  This is an event you won't want to miss!

Movers & Shakers 2008

Each year for the last 20 years, up to 80 young people aged 16 to 25 have gathered to pariticipate in Movers & Shakers.  A week long Christian Leadership Development program.  This program is run by the Queensland Catholic Diocesan Youth Minsitry Coordinators.  The Diocese of Townsville has been a big supporter of this program over the past few years, with up to 22 young leaders travelling to the Sunshine Coast to Participate.
